Mounting foam in a bottle

Mounting foam is an alternative to pipe sockets and is used, for example, between pipe and outer sleeve. Assembly foam is developed for joints of pre-insulated district heating pipes.

Mounting foam is also called shaking foam, as it is formed from isocyanate and polyol, which are mixed together and shaken. During the mixing, a chemical process starts (a foaming).
Foaming is carried out on site at the pipe joints and after welding.

Isocyanate and polyol are supplied in pairs in bottles or in bags in up to 21 different sizes.
