Ceiling insulation – energy efficient and durable.

  • Effektiv varmeisolering, selv i loft med lav byggehøjde
  • Materialet bevarer sin form og isoleringsevne over årtier
  • Pladerne er nemme at tilpasse på skrå eller flade loftkonstruktioner
  • Reduction of thermal bridges and prevention of drafts

The ceiling is one of the most vulnerable areas of a building when it comes to heat loss and comfort. Without proper insulation, heat will rise and disappear through the roof, which can lead to higher energy consumption, uneven temperatures and unpleasant draughts in the building.

At Dan-iso, we offer ceiling insulation with PUR and PIR, including our environmentally friendly variant purRECY, which combines high insulation performance with a low CO₂ footprint.

The materials are particularly suitable for commercial buildings, technical ceilings and office buildings, where both energy savings and comfort are crucial.

The importance of proper attic insulation

Good attic insulation not only reduces heat loss, but also contributes to a stable and comfortable indoor climate. When the attic is properly insulated, the temperature becomes more uniform throughout the building, and drafts and cold zones are significantly reduced.

The closed cell structure of PUR and PIR prevents moisture from penetrating the insulation, which prevents mold and condensation damage to the ceiling structure.

At the same time, ceiling insulation with our recycled Dan-isoRECY opportunity to reduce the building's CO₂ footprint without compromising on the technical properties, making the solution attractive in both new construction and renovation projects.

Advantages of PUR and PIR for ceilings

PUR and PIR insulation boards are known for their high insulation performance, even at relatively small thicknesses, which is ideal in ceiling structures with limited space.

The material does not absorb water and moisture and maintains its shape over time, ensuring that the insulation capacity does not decrease, even after many years of use.

Ceiling insulation with PUR/PIR can be easily adapted to sloping and flat ceiling areas, making the installation process both faster and more precise. In addition, the material's high insulation capacity reduces thermal bridges, and the ceiling thus actively contributes to a stable and comfortable indoor climate throughout the building.

Areas of application

Dan-iso's ceiling insulation is widely used in commercial and office buildings. It is often used in technical ceilings where there are cables, ventilation systems and other installations that require both space-saving and durable insulation.

In renovation projects, ceiling insulation with PUR/PIR is also ideal because it provides high insulation capacity without increasing the overall height of the ceiling. For projects with a focus on sustainability, Dan-isoRECY is used, which provides an environmentally friendly solution with a documented low CO₂ impact.

Technical characteristics

PUR and PIR ceiling insulation has a typical thermal conductivity of 0.022–0.026 W/mK, which provides significantly better insulation per centimeter compared to mineral wool.

The material's closed cell structure ensures low moisture absorption, and it retains its shape and dimension over time, which is crucial for the long-term function of the ceiling. The ceiling insulation can be easily adjusted and cut, providing flexibility when assembling and installing in complex ceiling spaces.
