When PUR became part of the EuroSkills experience

Some projects stand out from everyday life – and remind us that technical materials can be used in far more ways than one might initially imagine.

One of them was the collaboration with Brandheroes.com, where Dan-iso contributed with CNC machining of large PUR parts for a creative project during EuroSkills. The task consisted of milling giant ducks in polyurethane (PUR), which were subsequently included in a stage set-up and a number of activities. Activities created by Rasmus Ernstorn and his team.

For a company that works on a daily basis with technical pipe insulation for district heating, insulation for the process and construction industry, and special processing of PUR and PIR for industrial solutions, it was a different task. Normally, our materials are primarily used in district heating pipes, technical installations, energy plants and industrial projects, where functionality, precision and durability are in focus. This time, the same skills were used in a creative context, where the material was a visible part of the experience.

The project demonstrated the versatility of PUR as a material and how advanced CNC machining can create everything from technical components to large, complex shapes with high precision. At the same time, it was an exciting opportunity to experience our craftsmanship and technical skills in a completely new context.

We greatly appreciate the collaboration with Brandheroes.com and Rasmus Ernstorn, who gave us the opportunity to be part of a project where creativity and production went hand in hand.

It's not every day that PUR materials for the insulation industry share the stage with influencers, content creators and large audience experiences - but it was precisely that contrast that made the project both fun and inspiring.
